Good afternoon: My fingernails are full of bondo; and my hands are full of grey primer. I have a sandblasted wrist; because my gloves didn't go up high enough, and rotating that 3PTH part near the nozzle caught my wrist with 2000 lbs of pressurized Black Beauty sand. I'm waiting for the right day for the machine shop to come over and weld a hairline crack, and not all of my parts are in to fix the brakes before before a I sandlblast and prime the chassis and block. All small parts; fenders, discs, wheels, transmission cover, steering/dash unit and more are ready for topcoating. I've had parts come in from California, Ohio, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Texas. I've met a great bunch of people over the I-and the phone. The underling quality is honesty, integrity, down to earth honest and good people. This has been one heck of an education. I didn't know a dang thing about tractors before this 9N dropped into my lap, but I jumped in and in about 3 weeks to 9 months I'll be able to post a photo of a refurbished 1940 9N...watch out Steve Bastardi! For those going to Indiana; I wish I was going too. New Hampshire is just plain too far away and my pocket book is damn near empty, and my time off from work is nill. My wife doesn't know all of the financial details...and it is probably just as well. For all she knows, this thing on blocks will work someday, and it's just another turn in the road for her beer drinking, and unpredicatble husband; and to be honest, I would rather be married to her than living under a blue tarp with this tractor. For those going to Indiana, and if there is a swap would you be willing to help me locate some decent parts? Here is the list: 1. One pair original 8" 9N rear rims. Must be in good condition. 2. Front lights: original: from 39-40 years. If you see a set; and you're willing to broker a deal; pick-em up and know that ol' 9N'er in New Hampshire probably would have beaten you to the table...but I'll give you a little extra for your trouble. Well, that's about it on this Sunday...I didn't pull brush and haul logs, I worked on my rear fenders today. thanks. 9N'er

As hard as you are working on that thing, you might just as well fix up your rims. Assume the rust bug have perforated them. A band of steel and a few hundred feet of wire will make them just like new. Oh yeah maybe a little cutting and grinding and filling and sanding and other stuff, but you got experience with all that now.
