Rick, what I do is put a small block of wood on my clutch pedal to hold it down a bit, put Stabil in the gas tank before its last run so it reached the carb, check the antifreeze strength, disconnect the battery, shut off the gas line, and say "good nite and have a good winter" to the old gal. Since I have a slow leak in the left front tire, I even jack the front end up to take the weight off it so I don't have a permanently flat tire when I return to use her next spring. She is kept in a dirt floored barn/shed and is protected from the elements.

Rick..... ...what Lew said..... ...and..... .
Ford 8N manual recommends changing engine oil and filter before winter storage so the combustion acids in the oil don't eat yer bearings. No, you don't haffta change engine oil in spring.

Is there a possibility that you might have water in your hydraulics? can freeze and break your $$$hydraulic pump, If hydro oil is dark or milky, its got water, change it.

3-drains, drain the square diffy plug first 'cuz it'll pee innna buckett pretty good, then 2" hydro, then 2" tranny. Then fill with 5 gals of Ford/New Holland recommended type M2C-134D combo hydro/tranny oil 1-fill up by tranny shifter. 80-90wt tranny oil is not recommended, it'll eat some of your pump parts..... ...Dell
