I was looking throught ebay for air tanks and compressors and found this very neat pump (air?) It would be a nice toy to play with! To heavy for me though. This is not anything i profit from the sale of.

Norther Tool sells a PTO drive air compressor and hose for use on your tractor.

I'd love to get one of these... but the idea of chaining something in place so it doesn't spin around like a top when you engage the PTO doesn't sound too safe!

I have a roller type water pump which fastens onto the pto shaft and then chains keep it from rotating. This pump is a positive displacement type pump and quite a workhorse.

The problem I see with the air compressor would be that many air tools actually use a higher cfm than the rated figure, at least for optimum torque. You really need a tank for extra air capacity to satisfy the requirements.
I knew a guy who had an air compressor mounted under the hood of his truck, driven by the fan belt. Really good for pumping up tires on the beach etc and in a pinch air tools but he really needed a tank somewhere for reserve. I think he ended up putting a tank in the trunk. I can see some potential safety issues with that.
Getting back to the chain issue, I've had the water pump for a couple of years and it works great, no issues with the chain.

Yes i see. I would want it to bolt on like the belt pulley does!
