I think I heard somewhere that a fella can't have too many tools (at least that's what I keep tellin my wife). Has anybody used those newfangled not-sposed-ta-strip-the-points-off-the-nut (grabs on the sides or sumpthin??) wrenches? Are they any good? Is one brand any better than any other? Over the years I've been real happy with the Craftsman tools in the box.

I am an auto mechanic and use mostly Snap-on tools because I use them so much and the salesman comes by to warrantee them, which saves a trip to Sears. The sockets definitely grab better than any others I have used. The wrenches I like better because they are a bit thinner, but I really haven't noticed a big difference in the way they grab. Most of the tools I use at home are Craftsman. There is a big difference in price which for the average person is probably not worth it. Snap-On was the only company making Flank drive tools at one time but others may make them now, I don't know.
