So using bg's implemented technique...

*************************************************** Model and year(unless that's what you're trying to ascertain, in which case provide a physical description that includes as many salient features as possible). Sheez'a-1952

If it's a mechanical problem, provide the following: Front-mount or sidemount distributor? Side Mount Any modifications-12-volt, auxiliary transmission or hydraulic components, swapped motors, anything else added or removed? Nope How long you've had the tractor. All its Life History of the tractor? ?? How it's cared for(sheltered, etc). Taken Good Care of... How often or how hard you use the tractor.(does it sit for several months or weeks between uses?) Sits untill needed Maintenance schedule.(battery condition, fluid conditions). Every Few Years When did the problem begin? Since about 10-20 years ago Was it gradual or sudden? gradual How often and/or when does it occur? All the time Is that occurrence linked to any significant action or position of the tractor or any environmental conditions, like rainy weather, plowing snow, extreme heat, etc ? Nope Is it an intermittent problem? If so, can you replicate the problem? I hear it everytime i start and run the tractor What are the exact symptoms? What do you see, hear or smell?(unless you live in upstate NY and eat Bratwurst) EVERYTHING!!!!! What did you do to cause it? ;^) I Dunno!?!? What have you done to correct it? Recorded its sound

What parts were replaced? H-12 (Champion)

Thats it!!!

What are you talking about? The volume of the tractor? BG asks the questions for a reason-to narrow down the problem. If you give some legit info about your problem maybe we could help you too.

I hope this is all in fun, 8Nguy. You didn't use a smiley face or LOL.

bg helps a lot of people and always gives good advice. His objective with his questions is clear - assisting others to post enough information so that more knowledgeable people can provide better, more accurate advice.

By answering these few questions, people who need help can possibly avoid "fixing" something that isn't broken, thereby creating an even bigger problem.
