I recently dove into my hydraulics because I had a brief lift problem. Have taken lift cyl and pump and PTO shaft out. Have spent a lot of time cleaning the differential and pump reseviors. Bought a replacement PTO SEAL that was leaking. They gave me D9NN703BB which is only 5/8-inch wide but will fit on the shaft and inside the housing. The SEAL that came out was probably an inch wide with a wider flange that hides the seals. Will the one they gave me work? I would love to put the whole thing back together tomorrow and use a few new implements. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hard for me to get parts tomorrow.

Rick-
Seems like they just don't make seals as wide as they used to. Found the same condition on many of the seals that I replaced. Just make sure the area under the seal is smooth and not scratched or worn and it should work just fine. Be sure to oil both shaft and seal up real good before putting it back together. Good luck.

I can't help with your lift, but I can appreciate wanting to spend the day using your tractor. I am picking up a 2 bottom plow and a disc harrow (bought them last week) in the morning. After that we are going to my in-laws for a little turkey day action. Hopefully we'll get back in time for me to turn some ground. I have been waiting for the weather to dry up and a chance to pick up the equipment. It all comes together starting tomorrow. I am going to work the ground for the next few days getting ready for a garden next spring. I live in Ga too by the way. Happy Thanksgiving!
