I've been shopping for an N-series for a while, and have since wandered into browsing these models as well (I had my heart set on an 8N).

There seems to be plenty of info on the web about the 8N,9N,and 2N (nseries.com especially) but not a whole lot about the NAA, 600, 800 and Jubilee and the differences between them.

Is there a good grid of the differences between these an the other n-series tractors?

I have an 8N, a Jub, and an 850. In heavy work the extra power and 5 speed tranny in the 850 make it a more user friendly unit. fwiw, ray

For what it's worth..both of the posts below offer good insights. Sanford's reference to the attached website in his post is the basis for some very good informaton about the differences. Ya can't go wrong with the 600 or 800 series, but some posts have said that they wish they held out for the 860 Series with power steering and live PTO. You may want to brush up on the PTO and hydraulic differences if you begin to narrow your search to these series tractors or are at the point of laying out some hard cash. Personally, if you want to make a jump from the N Series, the 600 and 800's are a skip and jump ahead, and the NAA is a skip ahead. Of course depending on the series model and year of production, and options (if any). Don't misunderstand though...any of these are fine working machines...just subtle or technical differences. I have an 850...and now a 9N in process of restoration. The 850 is a work horse comitted to powering a Sherman backhoe and Dearborn loader. Lot's of HP and strength to boot. The 9N will be the grader, smoother, rock raker, small brush-hogger, log skidder, and when restored, advertising for my side woodworking business in the local parade circuit (TM and Son Fine Woodworking and Rough Brush-hogging! "No job too fine or too rough"). Good luck... let us know what you settle on. If you can do it, pick up both over time (a N-Series and a 100 series)...be a future Ellwood, and have us over for a beer or three. -9N'er

Jubilee NAA and 600 are basicly the same tractor just newer versions in this order. The 600 would have a newer style hyd pump which is better. Then there is a 601 which is the last series of these tractors. Dont know much about 800, has a bigger engine but dont know if its physically bigger. The Jub-600 have an over head valve engine that produces about 32 HP. The hyd pump is eng operated as opposed to clutch operated like the 8-9 Ns.
