Yes, the good old days when you could buy a coil & mount it , without stretching the pig tail & when you could buy a radiator that would bolt right up & a starter bendix that I didn't have to modify the block to install, etc. etc. Yes the good old days when it said "Made in the USA" stamped right on the part with PRIDE.

You are right. We no longer produce anything worth while in North America because the government has allowed all the manufacturing jobs to go over seas. I am too old to worry about it now but I feel sorry for the next generation. When a country no longer produces the raw materials nor manufactures products soon the people will have no way to earn money to buy the products from over seas. North America will cease to be more than a third world country. This is the great "New World Order" which we warned people about for years but the government and news media made us out to be radicals. Well what do the fools that would not think for themselfs think now. Sorry for getting political on this Board!

you couldn't be more right! First it was the enviro -nazis who began the destruction of American industry. Than along came Papa Bush and Clinton and Gingrich who all worked together to finish the job with NAFTA. Somehow, It seemed like a good idea to ship our companies and knowledge and techniques over to our arch enemy, China. China is aspiring and burgeoning, while America flounders and threatens
third world dictators with annihilation if they don't do as we say. China and Israel build new fighter planes ( Chengdu-10) and missiles. While we allow 10million illegals to stay. 10 million to be fed, clothed, and housed and medicated. Not to mention their effect on our transportation system, petroleum reserves ETC, and the corrupting influence on our elections.
Welcome to the New World Order. As George Orwell said, "The future will be the foot of the party on the face of humanity!" Sorry for getting so political, But it's a red flag to me. Rich.

I'm with ya on this one. We lost 2500 jobs here in Springfield MO a few years back, seems somebody thought we would prefer Zenith TVs with a little taco sauce on them, instead of meat and potatoes. What kills me is how some people will pay FULL PRICE for an import (are you listening Toyota Nissan Honda) when they're built under a different economic standard. Me, I have a Ford Tractor, a Ford pickup, a 1954 Ford tudor, a 1961 F-100 (on the way out) and the wyfie drives a Tennesee made Saturn. American Pride, American Ride. Period.

You tell it like it is Rusty. I have had no comment on foreign parts until today with my Taiwan coil and Mexican condensor. If the stuff worked it might be a bit different, but $51- Cdn. for a coil that only causes grief has got me hopping. BC Mike C
