Lost the original post so I'm starting over. I have the hydraulics back together , they're running great. I ended up getting a piece of 3/8" hydraulic line and some epoxy at my local hydrulics shop. All I can say is everything is doing ok so far. Also put in a new ram piston and gasket set filled it with 134 hydraulic fluid. Bought a new 1 3/8 " pto shaft with a new ORC and a Zane thang plus a 12 volt upgrade. Its like a new tractor to me. I can't believe how good the old N is running . I want to thank everyone for their help in this project couldn't have done it without you ...Thanks

No I didn't tap it out . The hole size was 1/2" on the top casing and a little less on the bottom.
It looked to me like the original may have been pressed in from the top into the bottom hole then the top swaged, but that's just a guess based on the info i've been getting . I took the path of least resistance.I went with 3/8" steel hydraulic line and that left enough clearance to get apoxy between the line and the casting. the 3/8" line is still large enough to deliver plenty of fluid . I knew it would be because the one that was put in previously was 3/8" and wasn't even sealed at the ends and I could still pick up a double plow or bushhog , they just would stay up with the cluth in. Now it works great. I guess I'll find out how long epoxy will hold up. If this starts leaking I'll probably solder it in next. In fact I was going to solder in I/2 copper but wasn't sure how copper would hold up to the Pressure. Does anyone know what pressure 1/2" copper tube is rated at? Thanks again

I'm glad to hear how you made out , lost track of you when Kim changed back to the old format. Did you tap threads into the casting for the hose? what size?

later,dave
