I seem to only have room for 1 seal on each sector arm on a 52 8n.Am I puting them in right? I put the seal on the outside of the sector shaft and inside the bushing mounting hole.. there is room for only one??

Arnold,
If you are looking at the Ford parts manual it is deceiving. The old seals were 2 part, a seal and a metal retainer. The new Ford part (#D5UZ3591A) is a combination seal and retainer and only 1 is needed per side.

I just went through this rebuild if you need any help let me know.

Ron

I went to a New Holland dealer and told them I needed bearings and seals for the rebuild and they said it takes 4 same part #d5uz3591a, that is what they sold me. 2 of the seals were in a CNH bag and 2 in a new holland bag both all 4 bags have the same part number. Did you use 90 wt. oil or grease in your gear box?
