It's 8 degrees out there as I write this, here in Central N.J. I just got back inside. No wind so it's not really uncomfortable. I just hadda do it! I went and started Mr T. It was a test of my engine rebuild. Results are; Starter spun free on the first try. Starter engaged on second try and engine fired after a 3-5 seconds of cranking. I ran it at about 1000 RPM for a few minutes with the clutch disengaged. I let the clutch up and it staggered, huffed and puffed and died after about ten seconds. It doesn't like that thick 80/90 wt oil. As I said it was 8 degrees out and I didn't have gloves on so I didn't persue this any further. I was pleased that it started as easily as it did . Rich.

Yep...pretty cold up the northwest corner (Sussex county) as well. I ran my '50 last night for about 20 minutes just to get the oil warm and keep the battery exercised. Congrats on the rebuild and keep warm.
