Ok guys, I have a question concerning stuck clutches. I remember back in the early '60s we had an 8N with a stuck clutch. My father,a pretty fair mechanic in his time, removed the starter, put a water hose up in the bell housing and let the water run on the clutch assembly for several hours, maybe all night. Anyway, eventually the clutch worked though I don't know if it was a result of this procedure or not. Anyone else ever heard of this? Just one of those things that popped up out of ancient memory. thanks

I was shocked when i was in shop class and someone brought in this 'nasty' car..the teacher had us drain the black tar like substnce that smell fowl called oil...then he poured a qt of oil, a pint of dishwashing liquid, and topped it off with water.. and started it. very noisy!!!! drained the murk, put fresh oil in started it. noisy for a second, then quiter than it was when it came in.... got me..
