Just a quick side note.

Mercedes' ever best selling, most produced, "flag ship" car was their S series w124 chassis. This is more commonly known as the 560 SEL sedan, along with other models (300SDL, 500/420 SEL). These are their big sedans produced from 1971 to 1992. They produced an estimated 890,000 in their 21 year run.

Ford on the other hand produced their "flag ship" tractors from 1939 to 1952. In their little 13 year run they produced an estimated 820,000 tractors.

Imagine that!

A little bit aside (but not much more than Mercedes), check the numbers on the little Honda 50 (remember the goofy handlebars and 3 speed automatic tranny) they used to make. At least for bikes, it remains the number1 selling model of all time.

Considering the price difference, the sales total of the Mercedes is still pretty impressive. Lots of folks out there with more money than me!
