Gentlemen, does any of you know what the correct color of these seats was within a shade or two? Thanks.

Thanks for putting the info about the Rest O Ride seat on the board, glad to see it. I have had three of them and all came black out of the box when new. Did anyone get one as pictured?

Mr. Gaspump, the one that I have looks like it was gray and black, with the paint covering the rubber also. It is pretty badly weatherworn and that is why I asked about the original colors. I havent worked on an N yet that some bg wantabee didnt paint with a brush load of enamel at one time or another. Thanks for the reply.

Hey Rich, I've only got a black and white picture in front of me so I can't be too precise. I can tell you with a lot of confidence that it ain't puce though, bud..... .LOL.

Seriously, the base, the two spring spools, the rod across the top and the handle on the operator's left all appear to be the same color as the sheet metal in the pic. The seat pan is black, as is its hinge. Let me know if you want me to scan and email or post a copy of this picture.

Hope this helps..... ..... Ed

I think you'll find that "Correct color" to be "Silver Bullet Coors light grey"
"Belch"
