My 2N stopped running and won't restart. Here's what I've done so far:

1. Checked, regapped and reinstalled plugs and point. I get spark.
2. Removed, cleaned and reinstalled carb.
3. Removed head. Had it magnafluxed, trued and put down new gasket.

Still, when I crank it, I get the same results: No ignition, no fuel on the plugs, BUT pleanty of gas in the intake throat. What seems to be happening is that the fuel isn't being sucked up the intake. Yet I have excellent compression, I can hold my hand over the manifold intake pipe and it will be sucked up the pipe! If I remove the exhaust pipe and crank it, I get white vapor. I THINK it fired twice on the last go-round, but that was it. Where do I go from here?

Try installing new plugs. The old ones can still show what seems to be good spark, but ain't working right. I had close to the same problem with my 2N. I had some good looking plugs laying around, installed them and had good spark but tractor missed something terrible. I tried a lot of stuff that didn't work. Installed new plugs and everything is fine.
