I'm assuming that you mean a belt pulley that attaches to your PTO. If you check the archives you can find pictures of them. I have paid as little at 25 bucks for one and then gotten them thrown in with another purchase. I rebuilt one completely with new bearings and seals and it cost almost 100 bucks. I turned down 150 for it as I plan to use it. They come in various ways, one has a paper pulley on it, another a steel pulley and the last had been adapted to run a regular fan belt. Depending on what you want to do with it, I would suggest that you be prepared to pay upwards of a 100 bucks for one in usable- non-leaking-seals condition. Just depends, you might stumble over one tomorrow for a lot less. My first, I bought from a young man who had bought it in a garage sale thinking it was something else and when he realized he had no need for it, sold it and some other stuff very reasonable. My advice is, don't get in a hurry for one and you can buy one at your price.

You are right if you bide your time, you can find one cheap. Last year while shopping at a flea market I came across one with a cardboard filling , the individual who had it, found it in a old barn , wasn't sure what it fit, but when I seen it I looked at it and read on it 9N. He wanted $20 for it, I bought it for $10.00 Cdn, telling him no one knows what it would fit and therefore would be taking a big chance on the purchase. It worked, one day I plan on finding a buzz saw cheap, if I just be patient one will show up eventually.

Yes the pulley is made up of layers of cardboard laminated together and with wooden dowels holding the outer metal edges together. If I had this pulley home, I would take pictures of it and post it but it happens to be 170 miles away. Some of these pulleys were made of cardboard filling and some were made with steel and a third I can't remember what material was used . Stan
