I'm trying to convert my 48 8N front mount distributor tractor to 12 volts using a single pole alternator. Does anyone have a wiring diagram and parts list to do this. Every time I wire it up using a RU-100 resistor it runs for a little bit and then knocks out the condenser, after it sets 10 to 15 minutes it will start and do it again. Help!

I am doing simillar conversion to a fergy 28. I can not get the alternator to charge. The charge light stays on. I would be interested in a wiring diagram to confirm if I am doing it correctly.
