In addition to the large hole for the ammeter, There are 4 holes on the left side dash of this mid year 1940 9N (9N 36149) that I am trying to determine their purpose. One on the upper left corner, one on the upper column of the steering tube, another located just left of it, and one located about right of center on the lower portion of the dash. These holes are about 5/8" or larger. Can someone help me decipher what originally went into these holes? they are not drilled, but appear to be part of the original casting. Thank you in advance. 9N'er

9N'er After reading your post on left side dash, I ran outside dodging the rain here in central VA. I remembered a few mystery holes in my 42 9n. On the left side dash I have two holes unfilled. One lower left 1/2 inch or so, the other is 5/8 with 1/8 inch hole to each side. This one is located next to steering column bolt. I don't have a light switch so one of these is for that, the purpose of the other is yet unknown. Keep asking questions so I don't look like the only new guy in here.
THANKS for your answers earlier to
PS. please excuse any bad grammar or spelling. My wife's not here to correct me.
