Hey Ellwood...question about halftracks..?

Ellwood: I remember a photo you posted of an 800 series (850?) tractor with halftracks. If I remember correctly, that 850 was in line with about 30 other tractors you own, and about 20 lawn tractors too. Anyways, how do you like those haftracks on your 800? I have an 850...and the previous owner has the halftracks that went with it. He wants 250 for em' too. I will have a Sherman Backhoe attached in addition to the Dearborn Loader on this unit. For the work I plan on doing with it...moving dirt, digging, snow removal...are the halftracks a good investment? They are a complete set. Thoughts? insights? I know, I know, this is a "N" Board...but hey without the N's first, this 850 may not have happened. 9N'er

Hey 9N'er,sure do wish I had an 800 like you do.My tracks are on an 8n.If you can get those tracks for $250 I would snap them up,you wouldnt believe the extra traction.Just got my copy of Antique Power and a guy from Missouri has a set of tracks advertised for $500.00 in there.Maybe if you are coming to Minnesota this weekend you could drop off those tracks at my house if you feel like making an extra $50.00 or maybe trade for a Ford garden tractor.Im still waiting to see pictures of your 9n,I will post another picture of mine to show you what Im talking about!Have fun and get that camera out!
