Looks great. Two blackflies and one mosquito landed on the hood and paint. Will keep you posted. -9N'er

I'm laughing to beat the band. Good string of messages...I can see my credibility is at stake! Ellwood...and the bunch: I finally got around to taking my film to Rite-Aid this week...and have some "work-in-progress" photo's. Now, I need to figure out how use and find a scanner...and hopefully it will work...with acceptable results. When the Whimpster is done...I'll have to borrow a digital camera and post it...Believe me, I want to pot a pic in the worse way too...one hurdle at a time...but the finish line is getting closer. See my posts above on painting... -9N'er

Next time you paint, keep an eye on it while the paint's drying. If othe paint is still good and wet you can pick the bug out using a hat pin or a toothpick. The paint, if it is still wet, will flow back out. Misting the area with a little thinner will help it flow. If the paint is too set up, all you'll do is tear the legs off the bug and make it worse (the paint, not the bug). Best to wait until the paint dries then wet sand and buff. Nothing worse than doing all that prep work and having bad luck with the paint. Take heart - If you get past the bugs and dirt I guarantee you'll scratch or gouge that new paint when you're putting the tractor back together.

BTW - you MUST post a picture to put the doubters to rest!

Do ya think it's possible that he doesn't really have a tractor? Maybe he's been fabricating this story all these months just to see how gullible we all are? I think 9N'er is some master mechanic that has mentally created a basket case tractor and has rebuilt it step by step (in his mind, of course) over the past 3 or 4 months, even down to the mosquito on his fresh paint job.
I'm willing to bet a beverage of your choice that 9N'er will never produce a picture. ;o)

Yeah he probably has. Has to be at least one story teller in the bunch that can tell a "tall one" ya know. He's most likely spent hours upon hours searching the archives to find obscure problems to stump the experts. Went so far as looking into finding the right questions to ask about how to use paint spray equipment and all. Must have a lot'a time on his hands. Yeah must be on welfare and got one of them welfare cadillacs too. Yeah that tractor is a doosy alright. If he has spent that much time buildin' a tractor his wife would'a knocked him up side his head with a 2 by 4 and knocked out what sense he had left and then wacked him again to be sure she got it all.

(Now, now there 9N'er don't get so bent out of shape. It's all in jest you know. :) :)

Really looking forward to seeing the old gal. Won't be too much longer now I suppose.
Keep turning those wrenchs!

Now guys

If 9N'er researched the archives for those unsolveable problems. Don't you think he's found a picture of a beautiful rebuild tractor to post?

Waiting to here "It's Finished" Pictures forth comiming.
