Please explain to me, someone, how to include a photo in a posting here. Will the "Optional Image URL" work for a photo that's on my hard drive (like C:\photos\tractor.jpg) or does the .jpg file have to be uploaded to somewhere else first and then called up by the "Optional Image URL" in the posting? If that's it, where do I upload the photo to?

I bought a digital camera a few weeks ago, and have been having fun with it. It's nice not to need film or developing!

Thanks in advance for the info! - Sam

I got it. Thanks to Jess, Zane, JimTN, and Larry 8N75381. The photos work pretty slick.

I don't have a tractor picture handy, but here's one of me going down Bull Shoals Lake the other day - getting ready to harass the bass!

Here is a file I have on the posting of pictures on the Net. It is about the same as the other but my wording might just give you another clue or two.First you go to Photopoint.com and join the club. They will give you a password. Click on "Send pictures" on their page. That will send you an Email from them. Click on attachments at the bottom of the Email and attach the picture you want to post. When it is ready Photopoint will send you an Email telling you it has been processed. Go back and give your password.
Go to incoming on the list of options. Your picture will come up. Click on it and wait for it to come up complete. Click on it a second time and wait for it to come up again completely.
Then double click on the URL at the top of the page on the tool bar address place and copy the URL. Go to where you want the picture to go and paste the URL there and by some miracle it will appear!!!

I started an account with Photopoint.com You can E-mail the pictures to them and they store your pictures , then you open your album. Then click on the picture. That will let you edit your picture. But you need to click on the same picture again. That will put it on a page by it's self. When you get it on a page by it's self. Copy the URL. and Paste it in the Optional Image URL space provided. That should put your picture on the board.

Now Let's see those Pictures

I know this is a dumb question, why can't you just send a JPEG, I do that everyday in business?

Hi Jim:

>> why can't you just send a JPEG, I do that everyday in business? <<

If you mean why can't you send it directly to YT, the answer is because (1) the forum software that Kim uses probably doesn't support it; and (2) it would require Kim to buy more disk storage to store all the uploaded photos..... or forum traffic would scroll off to the archives much faster than it already does. It's much more efficient (for Kim and YT) to store the photos elsewhere and link to them from here.

Hope this helps..... ..... .....Ed
