Solid-bar type please. (Although anything would be better than the chicken wire I'm using now)

Thanks,

Thanks Ross! I ordered a cast aluminum grill from Duane Helman's company Rosewood Machine in Ohio. When I called several months ago he had one "2nd" left and promptly sent it. I tried fitting it this weekend, but could not for the life of me get it to fit. Upon closer inspection it had a decent warp and twist to it, enough that if I bolted it on, I'm afraid that the tension required of it to fit would over time cause it to crack (there was a minute crack next to the upper center pin too). I called two days ago and he was very good about it and without hesistation said return it and they'll locate one in much better shape. Even said they would pay for the return shipping of it too. Apparently and to their disapointment, they had a run of flawed cast grills and are locating a suitable replacement person or company that polishes and repairs them at an improved standard. I am curious though; do you know of a solid center steel grill? -9N'er p.s thank you for your interest! please feel to e-mail me at the above address anytime.

The only thing this grill is missing is a herd of winged insects and a big toothed, fat necked wood borer thing sticking out of the clearcoat.

That's the polished aluminum one I ordered! And here I thought that when I posted my picture (soon!) that would have been the biggest surprise. You beet me to it! I'll tellya, restoring this 1940 9N Pedal Tractor was the toughest thing I've ever done. I just cannot believe the amount of work these old pedal tractors require!

Hey, 9N'r, can you tell me which of the three pedals actually goes to the chain? I have two pedals on the left and one on the right and they only make it go faster when I'm pointing downhill!!

Oh, and are there any brakes on these 2N pedal tractor things?

Well you'll have to excuse me now, I need to go work on my 91 Ford Pedal truck...

I'm still trying to figure out which pedal is the left one, and which is the right one. Once I get that determined, I plan to clear coat them, buff them, bake them, chrome them, and then install them. I expect it will take me at least 2 weeks to get this phase done. Then it's beerthirty and picture time!
