I put the polished aluminum grill on today. I called Duane Helman at Rosewood, and he was not keen about taking the grill back...sort of a different tone than Wednesday, and strongly urged to give it a try and if it didn't work-out he would find me one (he was being patient with me). He said take a 2x4 and bend the warp out of it. Not being a metal worker, and not knowing about aluminum flexibility I was hesitant. It took me 3 hours to affix the bracketsalign, level and place it, locate the holes to drill, mark the grill, and drill it out. I then installed one side, braced my legs against the spindles, and pulled the lower right corner out as much as my strenght would give (it isn't much...let me tellya)...but it worked. And as I patiently threaded the bolts through and tighened it, the entire front assembly and grill pulled together nice, tight and even on both sides. As I did this I began to see why Duane was being patient...it worked fine, I just needed to work it out a bit. I'm so ignorant at times it amazes me. Well, with the lights on, the polished aluminum grill on, I have to say...IT IS ONE BEAUTIFUL 9N! i mean, it's beautiful. I can't believe my hands did it. Please don't misunderstand my comments...i'm just very pleased that for once in my life...the effort paid off. It's a nice feeling. Took my three year old, Hunter, on a slow ride down the road to the local farm and he laughed and waved to people the whole way. It was nice. What a nice memory.
