Is there a conversion kit to go with a paper filter instead of the oil bath that will fit in the original breather? I am new to this so if this is a dumb question just over look me.
Thanks in advance.

Paul

I have seen an article buy a guy who made his own, but I do not recommend doing this.

First, there's the matter of filtering ability. Oil bath filtration is the best. It is *far* better then paper filters. It's even better then oiled gauze or oiled foam filters. The order from good to bad is oil bath, oil foam, oil gauze, paper.

Second is the matter of flow restriction. All things equal, oil bath filters are the worse (highest restriction), with paper next, then oiled gauze and finally oiled foam. But, a paper filter cut down small enough to fit inside the very small filter housing of the N would have very little surface area, and might well have higher air flow restriction then the oil bath.

My recommendation would be to leave the oem oil bath air filtration.

No, it is not a dumb question. I have never seen one. I wash mine in gasoline and shock it to remove trash and such. Happy Motoring

Never seen one? What about that dude that posted the pic of a weber side draft and paper element filter on his N? Never did find out what he was trying to accomplish with that set up.
