Blade lift control

I have what looks like a home build blade for the front of my 8N. It has some pulleys attached towards the front and rear of the two arms that attach to the rear of the tractor.

If I remember correctly, the lift cables connected to the front axle, went down under the pulleys and then connected to the drawbar. Is anyone familiar with this setup? I am wondering if I'm missing something.

Thanks,

Roger.

Both Dearborn and Ferguson had that style. Mine (made by Arps) is an angle iron frame and the cable attaches to the front axle on the guide plates for the plow. Anti-side sway guides would be a better discription. I am dtrying to draw up a set of plans for the guide plates for someone and going slow. There is a big 'U' welded to the rear side of the plates to attach the cable to. I have not seen the rear attach setup so I disconnected the lift arms and put a clevis in and attached the cable there. I tied up the lift arms to keep them out of the way. Oh yea, I disconnected them at the upper lift arm.
Hope this helps
