Is ther any way to raise a mower for travel to mowing and not have the PTO working the mower blade. It is a 1952 8N

before i turn off my pto i just raise the mower to the desired height and then turn it off and my lift holds until i reach my destination.

Hi Robert,
I just turn off the pto while traveling. If your hydrolics won't hold up for any length of time with the pto turned off just unhook the drive shaft while traveling.

I disconnect my mower's PTO drive shaft from the tractor and chain it WELL to the top of the 3 pt on the top of the mower.

Works for moving it in and out of the shed, at least.
