9N'er..... A battery charger is one of the most over used tools in a shop....Most are designed to take a dead or low battery and bring them up to a full charge. Unfortunately, people use them for maintenace, when most battery chargers weren't designed for this. I see neighbors frying perfectly good batteries all the time. Just throwing a 10 Amp charger on a Battery for a weekend will do irreversable damage. Get yourself a 12 volt "Battery Tender". you can leave it on the Battery forever. It has circuitry that will prevent an overcharge. I hear all these people with battery charging problems. If you have a good Battery, and NO charging system on your tractor, and hook it up to a battery Tender everynight, you will have a good fresh battery everyday, that will run your tractor just fine. I added a nice generator (three brush) that forces me to run with my lights on so the battery doesn't overcharge. I throw it on the Tender everynight I use the tractor to top it off... If you do get a cheap 2 amp charger, a poor man's storage solution is to plug it into your garage door opener...so it only runs the 10 minutes your garage light is on.... finally as a testimonial toa Battery Tender, I collect antique motorcycles, that rarely get run. Some of the batteries are 8 years old, and still cranking strong..... also, I don't have a nickel invested in Deltran, although I have a 6 V and two 12 V Tenders. The best thing since sliced bread... Good Luck Steve
