Hey, just thought I'd let ya'll know that those rear scoops work well on the ol' 9N WHimpster. Moved 30 yards of loam and 2 tons of bark chips today with one of those, zipped in, lifted, zipped out, dropped it, went back for more. 30 yards and two tons for a rear scoop is a good days' work. Not sure whatya'll think of those things, but for a couple hundred bucks, or a used one for half that or less (mine), those things work great. 9N'er

Hi Ken,
Click on the link below and it will show you one. They are the best bang for your buck, implement wise. Even though it shows a King Kutter brand, they all pretty much do the same thing. You can have it face either forward or back and you can fill it in a couple of seconds. Take it to where you want it and pull the trip lever and it dumps. Really neat. You also get to shift a lot :-) Good Luck on that 9N. Just remember that if you buy it, your life will suddenly change forever.
Chuck

I just bought a used one for $35 - What a deal! It had surface rust but was never used. There wasn't even a dent in the metal. I painted it up and it looks like new. I used it for the first time yesterday hauling dirt. It really did work great.

You sure know how to hurt a guy, gees $35, I'd be ashamed to tell anybody I got one for only that cheap, I got one used too, but I'm not telling what I paid even if it was all of 5 times that amount.Mine is an orginal, from the mid 40's. Stan

Hi 9N'er,
Those scoops are the greatest things since diced bread. I bought mine used, but since they don't wear out, it doesn't matter. Howsomever, that is one big load you moved. Neither me or Maybelle (my tractor) would have lasted that long. Actually, she's down right now with a blown head gasket. Gotta wait for some time and $$$ to get her going again.
Glad to see you didn't have to go back out West. I live in the central valley of California where a typical day is about 95 degrees. We haven't seen any rain since March or April so I can really appreciate what you went through.
Keep on Scoopin'
Chuck

9N'er,

You probably took on some sun too. You picked a nice day to be outside playing.
