I'll take the heat on this if it will save somebody from possible risk, injury or death. Don't use gasoline when cleaning you're tractor parts etc. It is much too risky even with all precautions in place. No sense increasing or exposing yourself or loved one's to unecessary risk. I believe so strongly about this, and I erred in mentioneg the "g" word in a post down below. Repeat, do no use gasoline inside buildings, near electrical, engines, stoves, etc. etc. or to clean small or large tractor parts. It tends to sink, vaporize and lay in an unseen vapor cloud capable of sudden ignition, combustion and explosion. I'll admit that I have used it, and I know of others' that do, but I want to make certain that this point and lesson learned (through my error) is taken by all; even if I get egg on my face, look like an idiot, or other. Don't use gasoline, avoid laquer thinner, or other highly processed and refined solvents or combustible fuels. Use extreme caution when bleeding carburators, checking for spark with a leaky sediment bowl or carburator, etc. etc. Becareful, and be safe. -9N'er
