Hi,

Does anyone know where I might purchase a tappet wrench for adjustable tappets on the N series....I can make one, but would prefer to buy one originally made for the job.....

Thanks,
Paul

Hi,

Thanks for the help..... My FNH parts lady said she didn't have and couldn't get....no effort you understand, just no.....

I ordered a set from n compleat and they will be here tomorrow.....

Meanwhile, a little row of hole appeared and I got the tappets set and the old girl running for him.....

Thanks lots.

Paul

The very best all around mechanic I ever knew was a man who worked for the Talladega County Road department. He could fix anything with very few tools and even less materials. His name was Buch Nelson and he died about 20 years ago. The way he fixed things he called the ignorant way, but really what he meant was the intelligent way.

If the engine has a row of little 1/8" holes drilled into the lifter or tappett bores all you have to do is insert a nail into the little hole and use an open end wrench to adjust the lifter.
I won't tell you to drill them there yourself but if they are there already you should just do it the ignorant way and use them!:>)
