I dont know where to put in the oil? or hydralic fluid to this lift system. It moves slowly in jerking movements like it is low and sometimes will not work at all when it is cooler temperatures outside(under 50 degrees). The dipstick on the left side of transmission shows full. Can anyone help with information concerning this problem or what I might expect in the way of future maintenance on the system. Thanks.

Richard..... ..The N-Hydraulic system is filled up by the tranny shifter. It is a 5 gallon combo tranny/hydraulic oil. Ford/New Holland now recommends M2C-134D hydraulic oil which is much better at lower temps than the 60 yr old recommendation of 90wt gear oil. Of course, you can use 90wt gear oil if you can find it. I would strongly suggest you drain all 3 hydraulic/tranny/diffy drains and refill with fresh M2C-134D. Start with the differential sq head pipe plug first, then eather big hex head tranny or hydraulic. But you have to drain all 3. You might want to check the N-Board "archives" at the top of the page for more info on "hydraulics".

After you change your oil, if your problems persists, repost to the N-Board with what you symptoms are..... ...Dell
