I have an 8N, where the exhaust manifold mates with the exhaust pipe leaks. I have tried several positions for the clamp, etc. Is there a gaskett one could purchase to make a tight seal to prevent leaks? I know the manifold is old and it needs a seal, not a very good sealing surface. I'm open for suggestions? Thanks inadvance for the information and where I can get the materials.

There is a top side and bottom side to the clamp. Check to see if you have it right-side-up. You can also use a thin piece of copper flashing to make a gasket to go between the clamp and the two flanges.

Rick..... .Check the "archives" at the top of the N-Board for fixing exhaust leaks. I remember some sort of inovative solutions that worked but don't remember the details.

On my N, the exhaust coupling has been completely welded around with an outer sleave. I have to replace the muffler, as it is just about to fall off, which means I have to replace the exhaust manifold too. I really don't recommend this "fix"..... Dell
