Hydraulic problem?

When I am mowing with my sicle mower it will be fine and then a few minutes later it will be dragging the ground. It will hold the mower up for 25 min. and I checked for relief valve and any visible leaking by viewing inside the right side cover. Is this a common problem? Thanks for any help.

Zane may want to elaborate, but assuming you're using position control and not draft control it sounds like you have some wear on the cam follower pin, as well as some piston ring wear in the ram cylinder. The jostling of the sickle-bar is probably activating the linkage inside the cover. You may also want to check the quadrant adjustment and the friction disk on the touch control handle as well as the safety valve.

It's not very good but here's a pic of my badly worn cam follower pin, that's a dime next to it to try to give ya an idea of the size of the pin.
