Well I'd been trying to bust up a piece of bone dry and rock hard pasture with no luck. My old Pico disk was barely holding together, and I was about to give up and call someone else to do the work for me. Then I came across this Ferguson 14A (no coulters) at auction and tried it one afternoon when we just happened to get our first good rain in months - MAN oh man, what a difference! I was having so much fun ripping up that thick, black Texas clay into rows, that I hardly noticed the rain falling and the sun setting. It was quite an experience and my 59 year old (young) tractor plugged and chugged through it all. I can't deny I got bounced around like a sack of potatos when "Old Sarge" rolled over a big clod, but I had a long ride home on a cushioned car seat so all would be forgotton. If you ever have a chance to plow a new field with an old tractor and an old plow, in the twightlight, in a light rain, during a long hot summer....don't miss that opportunity! Its one of those things that makes life worth livin' and always deserves a cold Lone Star Light to round out the evening. Old Ag 41 9N (painted like 8N, with various 8N parts - but "Old Sarge" is 9N to the core.)
