Connecting rod bushing and piston ring question

I am finally putting my 8N engine together and was wondering how the connecting rod bushing gets oil. There are four holes in the connecting rod that should match up with the four holes in the bushing. The machine shop put in the bushings and they did not line up after pressing them in so I drilled them to fit.It does not appear there is an oil galley path from the crank to the bearing. Does it just rely on splahed oil to get the rod bushings oiled? Also I have four ring pistons. Should I evenly space the ring gaps at 90 degrees.
Also do rings move around when they are in the cyclinders?
Thanks for any suggestions.
Alex

Alex..... .yep, rod bushings are usually kinda squirted at from the crankshaft bearings which do have an internal oil gallery in the crankshaft. I have no problem with your drilling your rod piston bushing. I have a problem with the sloppy machine shop service.

I always space my ring gaps 180 deg around. And no, rings do not normally move around (rotate). They will "flutter" at high RPM's, not a N-Engine forte'. (grin)..... ...Dell
