I was do some discing today runnig quite hard for about 3 hours, anyway the engine started missing and there is oil in the radiator, I would think I blew the gasket. Question should I replace the head bolts when I apply the new gasket?

It is my humble opinion that head gasket failures are common, and cracked blocks are comparatively rare. I've had the problem you described, and the head gasket fixed it. I've heard others on this board with similar problems, and I only recall seeing one that was a cracked block. I guess what I'm saying it 'chip up', you are probably in for a fix requiring $10 in parts, and maybe 3 hours of work.

I left mine with the original studs

Don't be surprised when you pull that head to find a crack somewhere in the block. You'll need more time to worry then about other things than the minor question of head bolts, I'll bet.

I disagree. Although it is possible that the block cracked it is most likely a head gasket. Oil in the radiator is large amounts is bad news. But some gooky stuff is probably just blowby. I would replace the head gasket and see what happens. If the head bolts look worn replace them if not don't. If you end up taking the head off again I would replace them just because...

You may need to flush the radiator and replace the coolant. I like a 50/50 antifreeze water mix after treating with some sort of radiator flush like prestone superflush.

Good Luck!
