I guess I am starting to have some type of hydraulics or hydraulic
Linkage problem.
Two or three times a day the lift arms will fall all the way down
And the lift lever will have so much resistance you can hardly move
It
Once you get the lever all the way up the arms come up and the resistance Is gone then everything works fine for an hour or so.
Also you can not move the small pump lever during this time.
This is one of the last few 8ns made and my manual seams to Deal more with the earlier models.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Likw Dell says the 8Ns are all the same lift.

It sounds to me like you have some linkage problems. Some one may have done a short cut adjustment because of something being excessively worn and bent the control rod between the top and the pump on the bottom. This control rod is supposed to be perfectly straight. Sometimes when one is bent it will cause binding and sticking.

I have a booklet and a Jig that if used as instructed will take all the guess work out of adjusting the 8N lift.

Email me if you want the particulars.

Paul..... .all 8N hydraulic systems are the same. This is why Harry Ferguson sued Henry Ford and why Ford produced the NAA Jubilee.

You might want to check the "archives" at the top of this most excellent N-Board as Zane has posted some excellent hydraulic trouble shooting tips and advice. Check it out..... .Dell
