I have a 1947 8N, I would like to see a picture of how braces get attatched so the 3pt hitch won't swing around. Does anyone have any pictures, or a site that I could look at? I'm sure if I seen a picture on how it should be I can make some. I would appreciate anything information anyone has. Thanks in advance.

It's cheaper to buy the stabilizer set than to build it, unless you just happen to have plenty of iron, etc. About $40 complete. There are two brackets that mount below the axle where the fenders bolt on. Each bracket has a short hitch pin with a linch pin that goes through it to hold the bar on. The bars usually have a 31.5" hole spacing. The other end of the bar slips over the lift pin of the implement, along with the eye of the lift arm. The pin must be long enough to accomodate both pieces and the linch pin. If the lift pins aren't long enough, you must replace them. Lift pins of various lengths are available at your local tractor supply store. Buy Category I pins and make sure the threaded portion is of the same length as the ones you are replacing.

Thanks for all the information. I do have plenty of steel kicking around. I was just wondering. My father-in-law lives outside of Petersburg VA. Like he always says "Dinwoodie county". Don't trust my spelling. Thanks for all the information. It helps.
