I just bought a used 5 foot Bush Hog Squealer on a local auction for my 8N. It had the manual all nicely wrapped in plastic taped to the drive shaft. Surprise when I opened it!!! the mice had eaten all the good parts. Any ideas where I can get a new one. It's pretty simple but I don't know what weight gear lube to use. I'd like to have a parts list too.

Now my 8N is acting tired. Sounds like one cylinder is missing. What's that all about?, it's been running fine ever since Dad bought it in 1952. I guess I'll have to start the troubleshooting with spark, plug fouling, etc. Any other ideas??

Sounds like that N is long overdue for a complete tuneup after 48 years. 8-) in jest but serious also. HTH

Okay, I exaggerated a little. It has had tuneups, etc on a regular basis and I installed an electronic ignition recently. It was running great since the e-ignition. I used it a couple weeks ago to move a bunch of dirt. It ran great then. I started it Saturday and it is missing and acting tired and weak. It has never been overhauled that I'm aware of. It's been on infrequent duty since the 50's and 60's when it was "farming" everyday.

I contacted Bush Hog directly and they sent me the parts manual for my 5' Rebel.{$3.50} I used www.bushhog.com to find them. The left sidebar of my search set me on the right path. Your local dealer can get the manual as well....DaBrow.
