I thought you all might like to see a mighty fine deer stand, which I finished building today (Sunday). This also shows the trees here in the Ozarks, which just started turning to Fall colors this weekend. I'll return next weekend to camoflage the stand with cut brush, and to bring a couple of bales of straw to sit on.

The connection to tractors? Well, I spent most of the day Saturday on my 8N with a brush hog, making a half-mile of road. That's how I got the 4WD Chevy up on this mountaintop to build the deer stand! This picture is taken a LONG ways from any pavement - and it's pretty country, isn't it?

How do you get deer to climb the ladder?

It's a deer STAND, not a deer CLIMB.

Nice if you like'em big. Looks like a front porch with out the house! :) We mostly sit on stumps and logs. Kinda simple but it works.

Just shot a 6 pt last night (flintlock), and found one more wonderful thing about my 8N. It drags deer much more quickly and nicely than I do, and that rear work light..... ..... Nice. Now for Tamra to get one for draggin'
