Folks: I saw in the now extinct Quality Farm and Fleet catalogue that they could get new, not rebuilt N blocks, and whole new engines with the same blocks. Who makes these? Are they made in the USA or Canada by some small company who got the patterns,or are they imports? Anyone used these before? Who else sells them?

We had a guy here in our area last summer went through 3 of those new engines in a month without ever getting to use the tractor. The block casting was porous or had sand holes or something. Coolant would just weep right through the block and drip down the outside. He finally gave up and just got a refund. Hopefully they're better now.

I believe they are made in France. I know that the flathead V8 is being reproduced over there.
They have some modifactions but from what I have read the aren't too bad. Check out the link below for the V8 club of America. Maybe you can find out more there about them.
