I use this hitch to pull my trailers. It works good even when you back up. Does anyone know who made this?

My photocopied MF No.3 baler manual shows this hitch and mentions the use of a 12" pto stub extension adapter to provide an ASAE standard hitch arrangement.

We used the V brace like that pulling the Woods Bros. 1 row corn picker. We had the PTO extension also. Both items were necessary to use the picker. The V brace made the hitch more rigid and the extension provided the connection for the PTO shield from the picker to be attached. It also allowed the picker pto shaft and u-joints to work evenly in turns. Our 8N worked its heart out on that picker for one season. The next year we put a Farmall H on it.

Maybe my grandfather used this V to pull the combine?

Patrick,
Thanks. I have an 11 hole drawbar that fits into the lower lift arms but sometimes it's just more convenient to use the swinging drawbar.

The one that you have seems to be a heck of a lot hairier than the one that I have though :)

Yes I know who made that. That "V" bar arraignment was offered as part of the PTO adapter kit for 9-2-8n's & NAA's with 1 1/8 pto shafts. The kit was an extension & it steped up to theb standard 1 3/8 pto, wife is a NH parts person, we found this just looking thru some old acc. parts books
