What parts off of a TO-20 will fit an 8N? Or would be original to both tractors? I know the lift parts would be the same. Thanks, Pokey

We purchased an 8n last summer. Upon further and closer inspection, I have arrived at the conclusion that the rear brakes, hubs, drums and axles are from the ferguson te-20 tractor. I suppose at some point, someone just tried these parts and found out they were interchangeable. So, now I'm trying to decide if I should change out these parts and replace with true 8n parts. What I have works fine, but they just ain't right on an 8n.

I think that there are plenty of Ns that have been restored to near perfect factory condition. Some of them even better maybe.
The ones that catch my eye at shows and such are the ones that are painted wrong or have some odd ball thing about them or for that matter are just regular everyday working tractors. Then they got a little character.
If I had them parts on mine I'd leave it as it is.
Talking points. You know?

The lift parts will interchange. The front axle parts will interchange if the spindles stay with the axles they came from. The dimensions are the same. I'm not sure about the differential but it may be interchangable too.

The rest of the tractor is different.

Somebody may know of other parts that will interchange but I do know of these.

Harry Ferguson supposedly published an interchange guide. I bid on one on ebay one time but didn't get it. Maybe someone else has one?
