I am on call 24/7 with the railroad so have no set hours. I read this every day I'm home, or every night, depending. It helps keep me from going really crazy. Great People here on this Board!!!!

Can't do it. I couldn't drive and watch a laptop at the same time. Have to go thru the corp. ISP, and they frown on "OT" sites during work hours. After work, have to "take a number" to go on-line at home, so I seldom get on before 10pm. Usually only make it thru the first page before nodding off. Bob in NY

Thanks to everyone for there replies, it is great to learn a little more about everyone. I try to check this site every hour on the hour. I am a business owner up in Michigan, so It allows me to. My tractor is currently at my plant so that makes it even harder. I hope to retire this year if I can be so lucky. If anyone needs and questions answered concerning flat glass just ask cause that is what I know. Tractor knowledge? Well I think I have a red belly.

If i could i would probably check in during the day but its kinda tough to read and type bouncing around in that heavy equipment at work and i haven`t found an extension cord long enough to plug the computer in so i just have to wait till i get home around 4:30 then i`m off and on till bedtime.

Not very often during the day, but at least once every night for about 2 hrs. Wishing I was retired to see what all the fuss is about. Can't imagine life being more fun without working and putting up with a bunch of yahoos because I need the money. But having my own home repair business does give me some flexability. Isn't it amazing how addictive this board has become to many and to many more who wouldn't admit it? I think its great! I check two to three times daily. After checking my mail under two different mailboxes, I next always go next to this board. Three years ago I had one 8n Ford that I could barely change the oil and plugs on. Today, with the help of this Board, I have three 8n's, one 84l, and a Farmall Cub. Two 8n's have been completely restored by me and one 8n and cub to go.I feel so fortunate and thankful for this group. YeeHAW!!

I retired last July. I check in a few times a day depending on the weather and then again just before going to bed. BTW, retirement is GREAT, no more stress, no more frustration. I feel like a 20 year old again. I've got so much to do, I don't know how I found the time to work all those years. Dave.

I usually look at the site when I'm on lunch, Helped keep me sane when I was recovering from brain surgury a year ago last december. I have learned a lot from the site and recommend it other's who are involved with tractor's. I only wish I had found it earlier. I usually spend a 20 minutes +/- during lunch, then one hour when I'm not contracting or repairing the Fer-guson ,Allis, or Farmall's. I contract Floor and Rug cleaning to pay for the tractor working's.

I check at work. Oddly, it is work related. We have a grounds department that runs Ford, New Holland, and now Green tractors. It is surprising between this forum and the tool talk, how many ideas we have been able to apply to our fleet of equipment. There. How's that for justification. Well it sounds good.

I am a "hit and run" visitor to the site (maybe "drive-by surfer" would be a better term) . It may be any time day or night. I am a large animal veterinarian in private practice so I have access to the internet whenever I am out of my truck. I found this site last year and usually go to it everytime I am surfin'. I have found the archives to be unbelieveably helpful in our first restoration and now we are working on our second 8N. What a great stress reliever!

Here at work I have a DSL connection whereas at home (rural area) I'm stuck with a 28.8 dial up on questionable phone lines. Therefore I check this site at least a couple of times during the day when it's less frustrating than dealing with the World Wide Wait at home.

I check it randomly during the day from my work where I sit in front of a computer-rocket scientist who does paper work (all electronic nowadays) and attends meetings for a living. You don't have any idea how much paper and how many meetings it takes to keep the launchers loader for those guys at the pointy end of the spear. Some people take cigarette breaks, I take board (bored?) breaks.

At home I check the board at least two or three times a night and on weekends randomly when I am inside.

I would have responded earlier but had to go to a meeting from 8-10am EST. Then I had to read all of the responses up to this moment so that I can be politically correct.
I don't read this stuff on company time or with a company computer 2 or 3 times per day. :)

I'm retired, with cabin fever during the winter months, so I spend most of the day on this site. Wife went to Arizona to visit family for a week, so don't feel too guilty about it when she is gone.

I work with my Father and Brother - we have a consulting engineering firm in Northeast Illinois. I was labored with computer maintenance early on and my latest work was to network all the PC's. I said it was to increase productivity with file and printer sharing. I really wanted internet access at my desk.

I check the message board every hour or so during business hours, but hardly ever after hours.

Surprisingly few have admitted to being retired. I have been for quite a while. My office is next to the shop, so sometimes, instead of using a shop stool, I come in here and sit in a comfortable chair at the computer. I'm only about 10 feet from my 9N as I write.

I am retired. The computer is on all the time. My workshop-playhouse-barn, where I spend my time, is 150' from the house. I check this and a couple other forums each time to the house. If I am home the computer is on.
