My '52 8N has started acting up when using the 3pt. hitch lift.
Using the boom pole, the hydraulic either pushes the lift arms to the hihest point or it drops`em to the ground The lever beside the seat( right ) which control the arms proportionally to its position, appear to have no effect. Is either UP or Down. I have the top of the transfer case off the tractor. Is there any adjustment or standard setup for the lifting mechanism, which would correct the stated problem ???
Am I missing something ???
Thanks in advance to all that can advise Best regards AM

Hi Andre,
I had problems with my lift. It would not lift at all, but would stay up if arms were manually raised while the tractor was running. After much work, cleaning, dis-assembly and reassembly, I just happened to look under the top of the transfer case and found the adjustment.
Place the plate or lid on a table so you can see the long arm move when you operate the lever. Mine barely moved until I made some adjustments. It should have a nut on a threaded bolt that can be tightened. Good luck.
