Do the New Grills from some of the parts houses fit and look like the original? I am in need of a new grill and original head 6V headlights and was just wandering.

have you considered one of the many tractor junk yards? you get an original grill reasonable and it's genuine thing from ford and not somebodies reproduction. remember if it didnt come from ford it is still a reproduction regardless of the name you put on it. i would find one at one of the many yards in good shape and use it if you are wanting original genuine ford quality tractor. other wise you might as well go to tractor supply and by a reproduction grill!! i know it's a tough call but to me for a show tractor you want all original otherwise you might as well hang an alternator off of it and put on a pretty paint job if show is all you are worried about. i use mine and they will get used hard so i dont worry too much about pretty. tree limbs and other farm hazards rule out show and pretty!lol =) hope this helps.

I bought a new 8N repro grille at a swap meet this summer. It looks like the ones advertised on e-bay all the time, displayed as a line drawing. It doesn't fit. The top portion of the grille where the vee shape meets the "hood" sheet metal doesn't fit at all; with the sides lined up, it's about 3/4" off in the center. It will take major rework to make it fit. If I can't find anything else, I may cut up the original and try to mate it to the new repro grille, but it looks like a lot of work. Also, the center section doesn't look anything like the original. My old one is in pretty good shape in the center, so maybe I can carefully cut the center strip out and weld it to the repro. Now I understand why a brand new repro grille was for sale at the swap meet.

The grilles that are currently available for around 60.00,are junk.I sell a grille for 175.00 that looks almost like the original except it has round vertical bars.We are currently in the process of making the 9n-2n-8n- grilles that will be exactly like the originals including the tear drop shaped bars. These grilles should be available by Spring. It is a very expensive and time consuming process, please bear with us. don

You can get an OEM type reproduction grill but they are about 3 times the cost of a non-original
type.
