I've had some concerns lately about my oil presure. I start out cold at about 35-40 lbs and at warm idle I droup to less than 10 lbs.
The rebuild is less than a year old. I decided to replace the relief valve. I just received my new one, which looks nothing like the old one. The old one was a flat disk, about 1/8" thick on the end of a rod. The new one had a end on the rod, which resembled more of an egg shape, then a flat disk. Did I get the correct oil pressure relief valve or was the one in my N incorrect? The part was was NH and had the same number as my master parts book.

Thank You Board Members,

Chuck

The two that I have seen, and have out right now have a half of a ball on the end with a flat spot on one side for oil to bypass. The end also has a flat spot on it. Don't know if I confused you more or not. Hope not!! Maybe someone with a camera will post a picture of one.
Good luck!!
Dave
