What size front tires would you 8N-2N-9N boys recommend using on your tractor with a loader without power steering?

On the same subject, would you recommend 3-rib tires or go for smooth car types?

THanks to all.

I use 6.50X16, 6 ply, 5 rib implement tires and pump them up to 50 pounds. This helps a little with the steering. Power, as always, is by Arm Strong. A full day of driving that, moving wet clay, will make muscles ache. I moved 2000 yards around my house in 1985. Now I just use it for minor dirt moving, wood ships, pushing out scrub trees, moving some stones and hauling firewood for the bond fires that we like to have with family and friends out back.

I don't keep a loader on it year round or I would have the wider tires on the front. As it is, I have the 4X19's and they do the job, but again my loader is on only from November to March. I am keeping an eye open for a set of 16" rims for my 2N should I find a set for the right price...
