I removed a Sherman step-up from my 8n. The short
shaft has a broken gear. The rest of the Sherman parts appear OK. Is there a manual, or source of information available about the Sherman step-up? I would like to repair this piece of equipment, but, I need to know something about it.

My shop manual has a exploded view drawing of the sherman, and also instructions for assembly and disassembly. I believe I got it either form the host of this site or Central Tractor.
I have to break my tractor apart to work on my sherman too (when I get around to it), but first I have to get the time to do some leveling, and I want to broadcast some seed and then use a drag harrow, and..... .
Good luck with it!

You might try your local FNH dealer. I called mine for some seals. They had the parts I needed and were very helpful. The parts department will probably have a break down of it. You could also talk to the service manager he might have some info.

Thanks, Jim. They know me by name at the local FNH dealership, I just never thought to ask them about the Sherman. Thanks, again.
