OK I got it sitting in the kitchen floor. Came off a 8N (RED) Everthing seems to work. Gave $25, they wanted $50 but the drum is woreout. He has some of the neatest stuff there. My question is, Are these drums rebuildable? I hope so. This one has a paper(?) drum. I noticed I need a PTO seal. Never had the cap off since the rebuild & it was full of oil so I get to fix that to. :))TIA
Roommate doesn't think that the kitchen floor is the place for this unit, good thing she wasn't here when I rebuilt the engine in my kitchen when it was 20 degrees out side. At least I own this place so there are no land lords to get upset like when I would bring the Harley in for the winter or a repair job. Play safe.

Thats funny about the Harley.
I own 6 renthouses, and one day as I was showing an empty one, the guy measured the doorway. When I asked what for, he said he wanted to put his Harley inside! He also mentioned that he got rid of his "old lady" and she was always mad because the bike leaked oil on her carpet. After he told me he needed a place immediately, because he was kicked out of his apartment from being behind on the rent, I thought I must have been on candid camera. I guess he was serious, but didnt get my house! Oh, if you need a belt pulley, email me.

I've seen on this board that there IS a place to have the fiber wheel rebuilt. A steel wheel looks like it would last forever. Maybe it does not "grip" as well, I don't know as I've never used either.

Well Rusty I went through this pulley thing last summer. I have a very good machinest freind that says no matter how easy you think it will be to fabricate something, if you can buy it, do it. I got a pully gear box this summer ($50)and was going to make a pully for it.I thought of the many ways to make a pully, or to use something as a basis to start making a pully from. I soon realized that my freind was right and that i was going to spend at least $50 on the pulley. I sold the gearbox and got a very nice pto pulley and gearbox for $105. Good luck. PS. The paper pulley was made by Rockwood.

Hey Rusty,

Sorta reminds me of the time back in the 60's when I owned a Renauult Daulphine and decided to overhaul the engine. I lived in an apartment over a "High-end" jewelery store. Took the engine upstairs and sat it on the dining room table. Everything was ok until I turned the engine upside down. Had anti-freeze dripping from the ceiling in the jewelry store, for days.
